Gear List for Half Day & One Day Trips

  • River sandals, tennis shoes, or neoprene booties (not flip-flops)
  • Sunscreen and chapstick (SPF 15)
  • Sun hat or visor
  • Sun Glasses
  • T-shirt and nylon shorts or a bathing suit if the weather is warm and sunny
  • Synthetic fleece sweater and windbreaker if the weather is cool or cloudy
  • Secure strap for eye glasses (croakies or chums)
  • Change of clothes for drive home including a second pair of shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Disposable waterproof camera (optional of course) 
 

Gear List for Multi-day Trips

 

For the Water:

 

  • Tennis shoes, water sandals or neoprene booties (not flipflops)
  • Water bottle (1 quart)
  • Sunscreen (spf 15 or higher), chapstick
  • Sun hat or visor
  • 1 pair synthetic material shorts
  • Security strap for eye glasses
  • Windbreaker and synthetic fleece sweater

 

For Camp:

 

  • Sleeping bag and pad
  • Tent (All Star Rafting provides tarps for group areas)
  • Swimsuit
  • 1 pair walking shorts
  • 2 cotton T shirts
  • Synthetic pile pants and jacket
  • Rain coat and pants (if the weather is cool or cloudy)
  • 2 pair underwear
  • Towel (small)
  • Toilet kit
  • Long sleeve shirt
  • Sunglasses w/strap (chums or croakies)
  • Insect repellent
  • Flashlight w/spare bulb and batteries
  • Spare eye glasses or contacts
  • Shoes and socks

 

Optional Gear:

 

  • Camera w/film, batteries, and dry storage
  • Book
  • Writing tablet and pen
  • Fishing gear and license
  • Musical instruments (check w/us to make sure it is appropriate)
  • Binoculars

 

ALL STAR RAFTING provides dry bags for your personal gear. We also provide all boats, paddles, PFDs and group gear for camp. We can also provide tents and sleeping pads for no added cost.  Sleeping bags are available for $10.  If you have any questions about what to bring please contact us at 800-909-7238.

 

SPECIAL NOTE: We cannot provide alcohol and cannot allow it to be consumed in our rafts. For overnight trips, if you would like to bring your own alcohol please feel free to do so. We will help with the storage and transportation. Aluminum, plastic and foil bags are easier to store than glass.  Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed once at camp. We do not have alcohol on youth only trips.
